ExpressVPN, like most other VPN services, is always coming up with limited-time promos to entice potential customers. The latest of these is a collaboration with Riot Games that nets new subscribers a bunch of free loot in League of Legends.

This new ExpressVPN partnership has been made to coincide with the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) esports event, which concludes in late September with a three-day event at the Caja Mágica in Madrid. This is one of the most notable game partnerships that any of the best VPN services have engaged in, and certainly helps reinforce it as a top choice as a gaming VPN, now that it's directly offering in-game bonuses to customers.

This close association with a prominent esports event like the LEC will help to create a stronger connection between the worlds of VPNs and PC games in the public consciousness, which is a smart move, when a lot of fans still don't fully appreciate the benefits of using a VPN for gaming. I wouldn't be surprised if we see other VPNs partnering with esports events in the future, too.

Signing up for this League of Legends ExpressVPN offer will unlock the following rewards:

  • 1 x Hextech Chest and Key for a 1-month plan
  • 3 x Hextech Chests and Keys for a 1-year plan
  • 5 x Hextech Chests and Keys for a 2-year plan

These giveaways coincide with a new 14-day free trial, which is only available for a limited time, but before signing up, it's important to keep in mind that the new 'free trial' isn't just two weeks of free access. To get the trial, you have to enter your card details and choose one of ExpressVPN's plans, and then once the 14 days have passed, you'll be charged unless you cancel beforehand, so don't forget. Although, you'll need to have paid for a plan if you want to get any of the LoL freebies.

If you're a League of Legends player, this is a great offer to take advantage of. While other VPNs like NordVPN, Proton VPN, SurfShark, and CyberGhost are also good for gaming, they're not bundling useful in-game bonuses like this.

We also have both a Warzone VPN guide and Minecraft VPN guide for anyone wanting to find out more about how VPNs can enhance these games. Meanwhile, competitive LoL fans who want to get a leg up will also benefit from reading our LoL ranks and LoL teir list.

If you want to chat about the LEC, LoL, or VPNs, join our growing Discord community to talk with staff and readers. We're always keen to hear what you think.
