With a ridiculously low price of just $599.99, this gaming laptop deal at Walmart is outrageously cheap for a machine with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 gaming GPU. Not only that, but this MSI Thin machine also covers all the other essentials, coming with a full 16GB of RAM and an Intel Core i5 CPU - you even get a 144Hz 1080p screen with it.

In particular, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU in this MSI laptop is a big step up from the integrated GPUs you often find in sub-$600 machines. It's based on Nvidia's latest architecture, called Ada Lovelace, and it also supports frame gen via Nvidia DLSS 3, meaning it can use its AI cores to insert extra frames to smooth out your frame rate.

In an ideal world, you'd want more P-Cores in a gaming laptop, but four is still enough for gaming in most cases, and this chip can also boost to a maximum clock speed of 4.6GHz.

The 15.6-inch 1080p screen is then the icing on the cake. It's based on an IPS panel, and in the tests for our IPS vs VA feature, we found that this tech is more responsive than rival VA screens, with less ghosting in fast action, and it also offers superior viewing angles and color accuracy. Meanwhile, that 144Hz refresh rate is another great inclusion for the $599.99 asking price, enabling the screen to display fast action running at up to 144fps from your GPU.

If there's one complaint, it's that you only get a miserly 512GB of storage space on the supplied SSD, which doesn't give you much room to install many of the latest games at the same time.
