How do you get the Pinch Whacker in Grounded 2? This weapon has been designed for bug-brawling soldiers, the type of person who isn't afraid to fend off the feelers of four stinging scorpions at a time. Once you get your hands on the Pinch Whacker, there isn't much in the game that can stand in your way.

If you're looking for more powerful weapons like the Pinch Whacker, you may want to head out to Pine Hill beyond the Picnic Table to loot the Bushwacker. With it, you'll boost your team's chances in this survival game by having a powerful way to stop mosquitoes, bees, and butterflies in the Grounded 2 park.

Here's how to get the Pinch Whacker in Grounded 2:

  • Craft a Bratburst.
  • Head beyond the Fire Pit.
  • Enter the Hacker's scorpion tunnel.
  • Blow up the blocked entrance.
  • Loot the Pinch Whacker.

Recommended Pinch Whacker equipment

Looting the Pinch Whacker in Grounded 2 requires an explosive weapon, which means you need to find the Bratburst or the Splatburst. The former is used to craft the latter, making the Bratburst bomb the easiest way forward.

Crafting a Bratburst requires Spicy Shards, and these can be harvested from Spicy Candy with a Grade II Omni-Hammer. You can get lucky and find these in chests or scattered around; otherwise, an upgraded Omni-Hammer is a requirement for this little adventure.

Bratburst materials

We recommend packing at least two Bratbursts with you just in case you miss the first throw. To make a Bratburst, you'll need a Red Ant Egg, Mite Fangs, Dry Grass Chunks, and Spicy Shards. Luckily, the rest of the Bratburst materials are all easily found around your first main camp—the Snackbar.

For the Red Ant Egg, just follow the route through the nearby Hatchery Anthill you took to get the Red Soldier Ant Egg for your first buggy. Gather them up and move out to the Fire Pit. Check out our Ranger Outpost lab locations map if you don't have that one yet.

Locate the Hacker's tunnel

The Pinch Whacker is a machine presumably made by the hacker Ominent wants to track down. Not only is it hidden in a scorpion tunnel with their tag on the entrance, but it's sealed behind a stone wall you can't just bash your way through.

The tunnel itself is found in the northern area of the Fire Pit biome. Hug the right boundary of the map from the Fire Pit Ranger Outpost and you'll avoid any of the residual heat, making Sizzle protection unnecessary. You need to make your way to the big blue can—to its immediate right is a path leading to the Lingonberry location. Further right, though, is an unassuming cave with the hacker's logo on a nearby wall.

Make an entrance

Prepare for a fight with the Grounded 2 Scorpions hiding inside. If you're worried about dying, consider leading them out of the cave for an easier battle. Once the coast is clear, head inside. Smash up the Spicy Candy in the entrance and craft your Bratburst. Chuck it at the cracked wall behind the big cereal box to open the way ahead.

This is the hacker's abandoned den. Snag the contents of the chest on your left for some Mintito that should prove useful for grabbing the Gloom Skewer.

The Pinch Whacker is a rather unique one-handed Smashing-style melee weapon. This spindly robot arm doesn't look like much, but its crackling energy gives it the Finale Short Circuit perk, turning the final hit of your combo into an AoE attack.

Paired with its exceptionally high stun stats, it's a brilliant weapon for daring tanks or solo adventurers. Unlike most smashing weapons, it's small enough to swing in one hand, freeing up the other for a torch or shield.

With the Pinch Whacker in your party, you'll have a much easier time stealing the Ice Sickles from the Ice Cream Cart area. That's yet another free Grounded 2 weapon in the multiplayer game that can set you up for success without a convoluted craft.
