How to get the Grounded 2 Crimson Avenger

How do you get the Grounded 2 Crimson Avenger? Shrunken, stranded, and alone in Brookhollow Park, you'd think you'd be pretty terrified, not to mention unarmed. But, alas, this isn't your first rodeo as a tiny teen, and crafting and scavenging are your forte.

Among the seven Grounded 2 secret weapons, the easiest to pick up is the Crimson Avenger. Luckily, this also happens to be an incredible blade against spiders thanks to its slashing-type damage. With this weapon by your side in the survival game, Orb Weavers will fall to you in mere seconds, and you can even take it with you to the final Grounded 2 boss battle - but we won't say more than that.

Here's how to get the Crimson Avenger in Grounded 2:

• Obtain the Tier II Omni-Shovel
• Locate the Spider Den Anthill
• Navigate your way to the Memorial Box
• Dig the chewing gum off the wall

Obtain the Tier II Omni-Shovel

Before going anywhere, you must ensure you have the Tier II Shovel upgrade on your Omni-Tool. You'll need this to dig the Crimson Avenger out of a sticky situation.

Locate the Spider Den Anthill

The Spider Den anthill is in the northwest of the map, and can be located in two ways. The easiest to find is the northern entrance, but you'll need an ant Buggy to chew through roots.

Under the large pine tree in the corner of the map, there's a gaping cavern, curtained by vines and roots. This is your hint that you're in the right place. Find the low tree root and climb it, following the path through a few dead root barriers, until you reach a scary, spidery area. Here, you'll find the northern entrance.

The Southern entrance, however, is on higher ground, so it harder to reach. Both are shown on the map above for guidance.

Navigate your way to the Memorial Box

The Memorial Box can be accessed from either the Southern or Northern Spider Den entrance, and you must follow the main path of the anthill until you find yourself in, well, a box.

If this is your first time here, you'll know you're in the right place as it's a map POI, so you'll get a notification alerting you of your arrival.

Dig the chewing gum off the wall

You'll find a lot of treasures in this buried time capsule, but, most importantly, there's also a nice lump of old, chewed gum. Delightful. For some reason, this is where you'll find the Crimson Avenger. Simple dig through the chewing gum to release the dagger, and it's all yours.

With Crimson Avenger in hand, you'll have far less trouble fighting off deadly wolf spiders, as this is among the best Grounded 2 weapons for defeating that particular foe. Make sure you also know how to deal with Grounded 2 Scorpions, Snails, and other critters, too, as they all have their own strengths and weaknesses.
