Inzoi was supposed to be the Sims-killer. The next big thing in the life simulation genre. Unfortunately, those ambitions faltered at the first hurdle, as the game released to middling reviews from critics and players alike. The character creator was a thing of beauty, but the rest of the game felt underbaked. Still, Inzoi developer Krafton is committed to supporting the game, and it's proving so with the first piece of DLC, Island Getaway, which releases later this month. Not only is the DLC adding a host of new features and updates, it's completely free—take that, Maxis!

Island Getaway largely does what it says on the tin: this is a holiday to the beautiful island of Cahaya in southeast Asia. It's giving Animal Crossing: New Horizons in both setting and content. There are actually two islands here, a main island and a separate resort. As well as adding new tropical-themed outfits, hairstyles, and decorations, here you can enjoy swimming, boating, and snorkeling activities. So long as you can delete the ladders from the hotel pool, I'll be happy.

As Inzoi attempts to be ranked among the best simulation games, its free DLC adds even more features across all its maps. Want to ride a motorcycle or electric scooter like those menaces who terrorize city centers? Now you can. There's also farming, mining, gem crafting, and fishing. Did I mention this was free?

Krafton also adds 90 new music tracks, new systems like random gatherings and cooperative actions to better simulate real life, and is testing gamepad support. On the off chance that any of you are avid Inzoi fans who like gaming on a Mac (I know), the game will launch on Apple devices with the new DLC.

It's time to don your Hawaiian shirt and goggles—not at the same time, mind—and top up that tan. Cahaya's calling, and Inzoi players have a host of new features at their disposal.

Inzoi's Island Getaway DLC launches on August 20.

If you're wondering what's next, firstly I recommend you focus on what's in front of us right now, but you can also check out the Inzoi roadmap for what to expect in the future. If you can't wait two weeks for your trip to Cahaya, these Inzoi cheats could give your current playthrough a bit of spice until then.
