Are you excited for Battlefield 6? You're not alone. Hype has been steadily building as EA has drip-fed more information about the upcoming first-person shooter, as fans hope the iconic series returns to its roots. The trailers look good, the developers are saying the right things, but how will it feel? Promising a more grounded theatre of war than modern Call of Duty multiplayer offers, this excitement has reached fever pitch as players try to log in to the Battlefield 6 open beta. However, they are being met with enormous queues as other, likeminded players try to do the same.

As players have tried to access the Battlefield 6 beta, the servers have struggled with the strain. Some have found themselves sitting in queues queues of over 250,000 people, and have quickly asked EA to rectify the issue. It's understandable that players are eager to try out what could be one of the best FPS games to release this year, but those queue times are pretty brutal.

As the Battlefield 6 queues continue to lengthen, EA has responded via the official Battlefield Comms Twitter (X) account. "Since this is Battlefield's biggest open beta ever, we're putting in the work to ensure that players have the best possible experience and servers remain stable," it writes. "To support this, we will use queues to protect the player experience but expect this impact to be minimal. You may encounter this during high peak moments, such as the start of servers going live. The team is working constantly to reduce any queue that takes place. Thank you for your continued excitement and patience."

Hopefully servers remain stable when you actually get into the game, and the excitement of the open beta launch will dissipate slightly to ease congestion.

The developers also provided an update saying that the team is "working on a substantial increase in server capacity" in order to reduce queue times. The team is trying to "get as many of you into the game as soon as possible," the post says.
