Cozy games are very much my jam. Whether it's farming with Doctor Harvey in Stardew Valley or fishing with Stitch in Dreamlight Valley, there's nothing that quite beats an evening spent with a relaxing game. That's why I was so excited when I saw the trailer for Everdream Village. New on the scene, the farming sim invites players to embrace their coziest dreams, exploring magical islands, building a village, and spending time on a farm. Even better, a demo is out now.

The latest contender for a spot on our best games like Stardew Valley list, Everdream Village follows its predecessor Everdream Valley in offering a super cozy experience. But this title is about more than farming, although taking care of your farm is at the core of it; in this life game, you'll need to build and manage the needs of an entire village as well as those of your homestead.

Community is at the heart of Everdream Village, and it's just as important as your harvest; much like the crops you'll grow, your villagers need just as much care and attention. You'll need to decorate, care for the animals that live there, remove pests to maintain a happy life in your new home, and even build the perfect picnic to share with friends.

And that's not all. You can also set sail and explore other biomes to discover new resources, treasures, and creatures to bring back to your village and help it flourish. There's a huge variety of animals waiting to be discovered, and that's not even considering that at some point you may be able to transform into different animals and see the world through their eyes. Consider me intrigued, as long as I'm able to turn into a cat. That's all I want.

You'll also be able to terraform the land to your tastes and discover a few secrets along the way - including dinosaurs by the looks of the latest trailer. The Steam page also mentions fishing, cooking, and romancing villagers.
