Christmas in July: The most gift-worthy gadgets of the year so far

Yes, I'm already thinking about Christmas. It's kind of my job — and I love my job. I love making gift recommendations, and since I get to try a lot of awesome products before they're released, I have a professional advantage. We at Mashable have pulled together a list of the tech gifts we think will be filling up Santa's sleigh this year. If you notice a considerable lack of Apple products, that's because we expect to see new Apple product launches in the fall, as per usual.

But there's a good reason to get a jump start on your holiday shopping this year. Yes, we're talking about tariffs. One economics professor we spoke to recently predicted that consumer tech products could increase in price by 20 percent in the coming months.
