What is each townsfolk's favorite meal and cravings in Tales of the Shire? If you've experienced the disappointed headshake of an unhappy hobbit after serving them a meal they didn't enjoy, then brush up on each of your neighbor's cravings for when you have them over for tea.

Tales of the Shire has a lot to unlock and discover, from finding new fishing locations to discovering new areas of the map. You can also unlock cooking stations to whip up the best meals for your new friends in the crafting game, but you need to learn their cravings and favorite meals first.

In Tales of the Shire, your hobbit friends have cravings for particular meals and flavors. Their cravings are either bitter, salty, sweet, sour, or spicy, and though they usually crave the same flavor, you don't find out until the day of the shared meal which flavor they are craving.

You can adapt their favorite meals using seasonings and ingredients of certain flavors, such as using a sour fish in the crispy fish pie to make it sour. A letter is sent through the post the morning of the meal informing you of their chosen flavour, and though some meals have a specific flavor, unseasoned dishes change flavor depending on ingredients and seasonings used. It's also worth noting that ingredients you can forage around the village change with each season, as do vegetables you can grow and produce you can buy from the village square.

Tales of the Shire favorite meals

As well as flavors, you also need to consider their favorite meals, which should help you prepare in advance by planting and growing the right vegetables or buying produce in town. Characters' favorite meals change per season as well; some might fancy a fruit tart in summer, but a warming stew in autumn.
