How do you get acorns in Grounded 2? By the time you come to need them, you'll have likely passed a few acorns scattered around the park. Used in the crafting of heavy armor and some important base construction, knowing some common Grounded 2 acorn locations can save you valuable time.

If you're looking for Grounded 2 acorns for a camp craft, you might want to know the best Grounded 2 base locations in the survival game if you're in a hurry. And if you're after more materials for crafting, we have a guide on how to get Grounded 2 grass seeds.

A section of the map where you can find acorns in Grounded 2.

Where to find Acorns in Grounded 2

Acorns are a common sight around the entrance area of the park in Grounded 2, but you'll find them in smaller numbers almost anywhere.

Remember the old phrase "the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree" and you'll have a very rough idea of where to go. Ok, maybe that isn't quite how it goes, but the principle is the same—so long as you're under the canopy of a tree, you should be within range. They're especially easy to find if you run around the trunk.

Position yourself at the first major lab-where you got your Omni-Tool, not the training facility-and you should be in close range to a couple of Acorn spots. You can find the odd one on the high edges lining dug trenches, so follow these paths to grab a couple.

If you need more, consider heading a little deeper into enemy territory. For some reason, any area with two acorns close together is heavily guarded by Orb Weavers.

If you're just getting started, you'll want to avoid these critters at all costs. They're fast, nimble, and will eat you for breakfast while their spiderlings nibble at your ankles.

Learn their routes, though, and you'll be able to avoid them with relative ease. Just be ready to sprint after smashing open those seed shells.

How do I get Acorn Tops?

The most likely reason you're off on a seed-seeking adventure is for Acorn Tops. Used in a few decent upgrades very early on, getting them can be a bit of a chore. Acorns are already in short supply, and acorn tops are, annoyingly, rarer still.

Acorn Tops are semi-rare drops from an acorn. You can bust them open with an Omni-Hammer of any level. If you're lucky, you'll come across acorn tops in the wild. Just don't count on it.

It doesn't matter where you aim when you strike or what level your tool is—the odds of getting an Acorn Top seem to be around 33%-or one in every three acorns. That's rough math, of course, but it's worth dwelling on when you're making your shopping list for your grand expedition.

Acorn Tops (and shells, to a degree) can be used to upgrade your tools, craft game-changing Acorn Armor early on, and build key infrastructure like the Incubator. Simply put, smacking every acorn you see is good practice. You'll need those shells and tops sooner or later: you know you'll struggle to find one to crack open the moment you need one.

Now that you know Grounded 2 acorns aren't too hard to find, you might want to research how to beat Ladybugs. They're another means to some powerful armor and upgrades. Just need a minute after smacking shells all day? Take a break with the best relaxing games for a chill evening.
