What are the best Wuchang Fallen Feathers skills? With over 100+ skills to choose from in the skill tree, it can be difficult to know which ones you should aim to go for when you first start playing. Fear not, we've done all the hard work for you by identifying the best skills in the game.

When you're first starting off in the RPG game, you won't have all the Red Mercury you need to put together the best Wuchang Fallen Feather builds. Until you get your hands on these builds, you may have a difficult time defeating the Wuchang Fallen Feather bosses, but you should have an easier time if you unlock the skills highlighted in our guide.

If you're struggling in a new area, the best thing to do is switch out your current build for something entirely different. Try not to spread your abilities too thin, especially at the beginning when you don't have much Red Mercury Essence to spend on new skills. Stick to to the Illusive skill branch and whichever weapon you've settled on - you won't need to start spreading across multiple weapon skill branches until you reach the late game content.

We should note that respeccing is completely free and can be done by going to the Impetus Repository menu at a Shrine, then select the 'Reset Points' option. Experimenting with your skills is crucial, as the bosses and enemies you encounter have distinct weaknesses. Some of the skills we've listed take advantage of the Wuchang Fallen Feathers Madness system; be sure to read our guide to understand how this useful mechanic works.

These are the best skills in Wuchang Fallen Feathers:

Manna Capacity

Potentially the most useful skill you can pick up at every stage in the soulslike game, Manna Capacity increases your Manna Vase charges by one. Unlocking this skill doesn't require you to spend any Red Mercury Essence, but you will need to track down Forgotten Remembrance, which can be found in large golden chests around the world.

The Manna Capacity skill is featured throughout the Illusive branch, and it's worth pointing out that these skills can be upgraded three times, saving you from having to reach a distant skill on the tree.

Manna Potency

Manna Potency is incredibly important as it increases the amount of health you recover using your Manna Vase. This skill requires you to find Lost Remains, and it can be upgraded up to three times in each node. Just like Manna Capacity, you won't need to spend any Red Mercury Essence to unlock this in the skill tree.

Skyborn Call

Skyborn Might is essentially Wuchang Fallen Feather's version of mana, and you can use this resource to cast spells and perform weapon skills. Even if you're primarily using your weapons, you still need to upgrade this skill if you want to maximize your damage output.

Combine this with Swift Resilience and Conversion if you're specializing in melee combat. Skyborn Call features three levels across the skill tree, each increasing the number of Skyborn Might you can hold by one.

Health Siphon

While you can play the game without delving into the Madness system, the skills that utilize this mechanic are far too good for us to ignore. Health Siphon restores some health every time you land the final hit of your light attack combo, something you're going to be doing repeatedly against small mobs and bosses alike.

Energetic

Whether it be through dodging attacks or landing lengthy attack chains, you're going to gain Skyborn Might often. Energetic goes hand in hand with skills like Swift Warrior (Dual Blades), Thunderous Cleave (Axe), and Sword Saint (Longsword), restoring a small portion of stamina whenever you gain a stack of Skyborn Might. Restoring your stamina during combat can keep you on the offensive, giving you another chance to land an additional blow to your enemies.

Clash

The Axe, Dual Blades, and Longsword feature multiple skills that add Clash to either the light or heavy attack strings, and in some instances, both. Most of the animations for each weapon are long enough that you won't have time to dodge during combat, forcing you to take some damage while striking enemies. Clash sharply reduces the amount of incoming damage you would otherwise take during an attack string.

Here are the Clash skills in the Wuchang Fallen Feathers skill tree:

  • Axe & Hook (Axe)
  • Chop & Weave (Axe)
  • Feather Chaser (Dual Blades)
  • Leaf Slasher (Dual Blades)
  • Wave Breaker (Dual Blades)
  • Sword Savant (Longsword)

Biding Time

If you want to create a spell-based build, you need to use One-Handed Swords, largely due to the Biding Time skill. This skill provides you with a stack of Skyborn Might just for wielding a One-Handed Sword, and it can be enhanced with Unbroken Focus (Illusive) to up this effect to three Skyborn Might stacks. You'll feel the effects of this skill when you're repeatedly fighting a boss, equipping you with the ammunition required to cast a spell as soon as you step inside the arena.

Rapid Temperance

Temperance allows you to instantly upgrade your weapon, enhancing it with numerous effects. Rapid Temperance accelerates these effects, so you can spend less time waiting around and more time slicing through your foes.

Like Health Siphon, this skill requires you to be above 50% Madness to activate its effect. More importantly, unlocking this skill gives you access to five different Bone Needles, which you'll need to capitalize on your enemy's weaknesses.

That's everything you need to know about the best skills in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. When you think about it, your skills in the single player game are just as important as your armor, so check out our Wuchang Fallen Feathers transmog guide to alter the look of your outfit without sacrificing any stats.
