If Starfield's focus on single-player or No Man's Sky expansive universe aren't for you, Void Crew is a game you need to try. Boasting a 'very positive' rating on Steam from more than 5,000 user reviews, it's a chaotic take on the space game that rewards quick thinking and teamwork. Your squads are about to get even bigger, too, as console ports and crossplay are now right around the corner. So no matter where your friends play, you can step out of that airlock together.

In Void Crew, you and your pals need to work together to create a functioning spacecraft. Between a pilot, gunner, engineer, and scavenger, you've got plenty of roles to choose from that'll help you complete any quest thrown at you. You can even swap jobs on the fly, running across your ship to man the guns or perform some emergency repairs. Void Crew channels the pure chaos of the best co-op games on PC today, as up to six of you can work on the ship at once.

With the imminent arrival of Void Crew's console launch, you'll have more places to play soon. Hutlihut Games will bring the game to Xbox Series X|S and PS5, alongside full crossplay support. That means your squad can play with each other no matter their platform, making the space game even better than before.

Late last year, Hutlihut Games also released Void Crew 1.0, and it's packed with new features. The new Infestation and Desecration objectives test your team's speed and ability to think on the fly, respectively. The Fabricator, which you use to transform materials into equipment, has also been overhauled. You can upgrade it to operate faster, and create even more blueprints by recycling items you no longer need.

That's not all, though. The perk tree system has also been revamped, and it gives you plenty more build options. There are new perks to select, better class abilities, and you can even make perk selection loadouts so you're always ready to jump in.

Hutlihut Games will bring Void Crew to consoles, alongside crossplay, on Thursday September 4.
