There has been no end to weird glitches in The Sims over the years. Everything from raining indoors to Sims walking through walls; you'd think we would have seen it all by now. Apparently not, as last week several players reported several bizarre issues with pregnancy bugs as the latest patch dropped for The Sims 4, including characters being mistakenly marked as pregnant or missing baby bumps.

While it remains one of the best life games out there, it looks like The Sims 4 is still susceptible to its share of strange bugs. These pregnancy issues are only the most recent to affect the game; several players reported issues with the 'Try for a Baby' option not appearing for their Sims or characters that were bizarrely missing baby bumps.

Some Sims were even being mistakenly marked as pregnant, even if they were male or had never woo-hooed before. This had its own unintentional consequences, with said Sims unable to take pregnancy tests, grow any older, or woo-hoo. Some pregnancies also didn't seem to result in actual Sim babies either, with pregnancy progress appearing to stall.

For players who have hopped back into the game in time for the new Enchanted by Nature expansion pack, have no fear: it looks like EA has finally addressed the bug with a brand-new patch. It's already gone live, after the studio previously confirmed it was targeting the issues reported.

In an X post, EA confirms it has employed the new patch, "reverting the changes made to pregnancy," which should hopefully resolve the issues. Thank goodness; fans holding off on delving into the recent expansion pack or checking out the new items available this week in the Nature's Calling event can now delve back into the game without any pregnancy bugs.

The Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack is available now for $39.99 / £34.99, and if you pick it up before August 21, you'll also receive some enchanting Fairy Garden bonus items. The Nature's Calling event runs until August 5.
