The FragPunk system requirements start incredibly low, but only cover gameplay at 1080p and 30fps, which isn't ideal for a competitive shooter. If you're looking for a fast frame rate at a higher resolution, the specs take a considerable jump up.
You won't need the best graphics card from our buying guide to play FragPunk, even when its settings are cranked up to the max. As a competitive shooter, you're going to want to prioritize performance, which could mean lowering graphical settings even if your gaming PC can push the game to its limits.
Here are the FragPunk system requirements:
Minimum (30fps, 1080p, Low) | Recommended (144fps, 1440p, Ultra) | |
OS | Windows 10 or later | Windows 10 or later |
CPU | Intel Core i7 4790 AMD Ryzen 3 3100 |
Intel Core i7 10700K AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti AMD Radeon RX 550 Intel Arc A380 |
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Intel Arc A750 |
VRAM | At least 2GB | At least 8GB |
Storage | 40GB | 40GB |
RAM | 8GB | 16GB |
The FragPunk minimum requirements are surprisingly low, but many competitive FPS games start off in this way, just like Counter-Strike 2. If your system meets the minimum specs, you can expect 30fps at 1080p on the lowest graphical settings.
You'll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 550, or Intel Arc A380 GPU paired with an Intel Core i7 4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 CPU. You'll also only need 8GB of RAM, which will be a relief given the current trend of 12GB and 16GB RAM requirements in the minimum specs for some games.
As for the FragPunk recommended specs, these read like ultra specs, and the additional notes on the Steam page support this. If you meet the recommended specs, you can expect 144fps at 1440p with the highest graphical settings, though with ray tracing off.
You'll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, or Intel Arc A750 alongside an Intel Core i7 10700K or AMD Ryzen 5600X. The RAM requirement also understandably jumps to 16GB in this tier.
The FragPunk download size is a modest 40GB, and while there is no mention of needing a solid state drive, I would still recommend one of the best SSD picks from our buying guide, especially as it will improve your in-game loading times.
