New Minecraft skin is locked behind $350 Swarovski figures

We've probably all been there. Having spent hours or even days carefully crafting our Minecraft world block by block, we stumble across the perfect item in the Marketplace that would just add that magic touch to our creative vision. You know the feeling. So, if you're designing a crystallized world, the stylish new Crystal Suit skin might be exactly what you're looking for. There's only one problem: you need to spend at least $350 first to get it.

The official Minecraft x Swarovski collection is as fancy as you'd expect, with four figurines available as part of the collab. Fans were excited earlier this week when the partnership was initially teased on social media, but they might be less thrilled when they see the prices.

Alongside the crystalized figures of a creeper, a pig, Steve, and Alex, the collab also bring a new in-game Character Creator item to one of our favorite sandbox games. The skin is called the Crystal Suit, and it's perfect if you want to add a little more sparkle to the Overworld. However, it's only available to those who buy one of the Minecraft x Swarovski figures, the cheapest of which is $350, leaving a bit of sour taste in the mouth.

The Swarovski website reads that the Crystal Suit comes personalized with the Swarovski Swan emblem, and is available through a QR code on the packaging for each figure. It's also only usable in the Bedrock Edition. Both the pig and the creeper are available for $350 / £280, while Steve and Alex come in at $380 / £300.

A few have already been left disappointed by the price, despite looking forward to the items. One writes in an X post, "That's gorgeous, but wow what a lot of money."

Earlier this week, a new Minecraft update made it possible to unlock achievements while you're using add-ons. The change impacts the game's Bedrock Edition and should make achievement hunters very happy indeed.
