It's official, the dark fantasy RPG Dragonheir: Silent Gods has returned to Steam and is welcoming players new and old to the world they once knew, awoken anew. After months spent offline, the game is now available to play with a huge new content update, including the previously promised improvements to combat and quest difficulty, as well as fresh activities, improved quality of life for players, and epic quests with beloved Dungeons and Dragons characters. Best of all, it's free to play now.
Despite wracking up more than ten million players worldwide, the fantasy game previously proved divisive, particularly after support was discontinued for the game in the United States in September 2024. It is currently sitting at a 'mixed' Steam rating, but it does look like the tides might be turning. The relaunch of Dragonheir: Silent Gods is being well received at the time of writing, with recent reviews coming in as 'mostly positive'.
So what's included in the relaunch of this dark fantasy game? Grind has been reduced for players with an overhaul of the leveling system, which sees simultaneous progression for your entire team, as well as the introduction of a brand-new Hero Talent system. Begone talent trees limiting your mixes and matches; over 300 of the heroes now each boast 12 unique Talent effects, allowing you to better customize in-depth tactical styles.
There have also been improvements made to the summoning system, reducing the cost of summons, and the Heroic Journey has been revamped, allowing players to undertake quests to unlock Legendary heroes Eurion, Torrin, and Vinyara.
Players can also login now to claim 650 free summons, and take advantage of the 70% discount on pulls. And that's not even considering the rewards available as part of the relaunch's new in-game events, from Heliolite Dice and legendary heroes to artifacts and even Wyrmarrow.
Fans of DnD will also be able to dive into the Dungeons & Dragons Collaboration from day five, and undertake epic quests with characters Drizzt Do'Urden, his loyal companion Guenhwyvar, and the fearsome Errtu the Balorare.
