The Sims 4 is giving away free items, but you need to grab them fast

As I'm sure you're aware, a magical new expansion pack, Enchanted by Nature, has finally fluttered its way into The Sims 4 - and if you weren't, then where have you been? But while I'm fully prepared to sink hours into finding the perfect fairy outfit and decorating my Sims' home with all the fantastical furniture I can get my hands on, there are plenty of free items up for grabs outside of the pack. You're going to have to be quick to pick them up though, because this week's items are only available for a limited time - and I don't think you're going to want to miss out.

The latest free items are available as part of The Sims 4 Nature's Calling event, which is running across the summer. Every week new items are available as rewards for completing quests and earning event points, and all you need to do is to take part is follow the whispers on the wind and have your Sim touch grass.

This week's items for one of the best simulation games around are pretty iconic. Answer the call to nature, literally, with The Wooden Throne outhouse. You can place this off-the-grid toilet in the great outdoors to provide your Sims with the perfect spot to handle their business when doing some gardening, or even as a secret rendezvous, if that's your kind of thing.

Some of the free decor includes Cove Stones decorative rocks, as well as some rugged Trail Sandals, which you can use to hit the hiking trails. Be careful, though, as these items are available for a limited time as part of Week 4 of the event, so earn those points and claim your rewards quickly before time runs out.

You can start the Nature's Calling event by entering Live Mode, where you should see the first few quests. Once you've completed them, you can claim your hard-earned rewards in the main menu or in Live Mode by selecting the 'claim' option.

It's worth noting that those with the Cats and Dogs, Snowy Escape, Horse Ranch, and Lovestruck expansion packs can earn extra points by completing optional goals.

The Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack is available now for $39.99 / £34.99, and if you pick it up before August 21, you'll also receive some enchanting Fairy Garden bonus items. The Nature's Calling event runs until August 5.
