Though it struggled at launch, early access co-op action game No More Room in Hell 2 continues to impress with each new update. This is update 0.5.0, so we have a long way to go before the game is ready for prime time, but this patch represents a big stride forward, adding a new map, character customization, a new weapon, and a new enemy type. If you love horror co-op games like Left 4 Dead or The Killing Floor and have been on the fence, it might be worth giving No More Room in Hell 2 a shot.

The new map is called Brooklyn; it's a returning location from the first game. The map starts with a failed extraction from NYC and you'll race through city streets, subway tunnels, and the sewers. It even has multiple ending states and scenarios to facilitate replayability. The update adds a training level called CRC Training Facility. Here, you can learn the ropes by using every weapon in the game at the firing range and gain experience with the puzzles, hazards, and zombie types you'll encounter out in the actual levels. These changes make No More Room in Hell 2 feel more complete, putting it on the road to becoming on of the best co-op games.

There are lots of other, smaller changes. More robust character customization means that you can recolor any of the game's cosmetics. All items currently in the game are free and more will arrive in future content updates. As for new things you can do, you can now throw melee weapons and other objects, giving you one more tool you can use when you are desperate. The new weapon is a Gruber Mk VII, a small sidearm with a silencer. You'll also face off against new "Army" zombies are wearing military grade armor and gear, making them difficult to take down.
