When I think about it, The Division 2 and Payday have always been ripe for a crossover. Both are co-op shooters that focus on builds, with some truly incredible set pieces and moments. Ubisoft's live-service game has already brought in the likes of Resident Evil, Splinter Cell, and even Stalker 2, so Starbreeze's crime series feels like the logical next step. The Division 2 Payday event is live right now. You've got the chance to get slick new apparel and rewards, alongside some of Payday's trademark clown masks. It's only for a limited time, though, so you don't want to wait around.
If you jump into The Division 2 right now, there's plenty of Payday goodness to unlock. For starters, you've got four unique masks and outfits based on some of the most iconic robbers across the games. There are looks inspired by Dallas, Chains, Jiro, and Sangres for your agent, giving you quite the dapper look for the end of the world. You can also get multiple sets of gloves, backpack trophies, skins, and caches as well.
To get the outfits, you need to go through cosmetic bundles, Twitch Drops, and the newly introduced event pass, which is live right now. This new event for one of the best co-op games also comes in the form of both free and paid progression tracks, which you can go through by earning season pass XP.
If you watch approved The Division 2 streams on Twitch, you can also get even more of the rewards that are available in the crossover. The best are by far the gold skull backpack trophy and bronze skull mask, but you'll have to put in a lot of watch time to get those - six hours to be precise.
Ubisoft is running its The Division 2 and Payday collaboration from Tuesday July 15 to Tuesday July 29. Just boot up the game to get involved. You can learn more here.
