How to sack tap through the slime in THPS 3+4

How do you sack tap through the slime in THPS 3+4? The final level in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 campaign is brand new to the series, taking you to a giant pinball table where you'll have to avoid silver balls as they smash into objects on the track.

The Pinball level in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 features some confusing challenges, including the wallplant the multiball targets goal which requires you to wallplant on various structures. Similarly, the sack tap through the slime challenge in THPS 3+4 looks simple enough, but it's easy to waste a lot of time on this surprisingly quick goal.

The Pinball level's goal runthrough shows you where the slime area is, but it doesn't tell you how to complete the challenge. Instinctively, you might assume that you need to jump through the hole while performing the trick, only to find that the challenge doesn't immediately clear.

The secret to this goal is that you need to launch yourself off the halfpipe ramp below the slime cutout to trigger the gap. Take a closer look at the ramp, and you'll see green slime on the halfpipe. Once you build your special gauge to accelerate to max speed, aim for that area to hurtle yourself through the hole.

Unless you line yourself up perfectly, you will likely end up landing on the platform rather than back down the ramp. Make sure you perform a spine transfer (tap RT / R2) while you're landing to straighten up so you don't drop your combo. You need to land the trick with the gap in your combo; if you don't, you won't be able to complete the challenge.

Speaking of the trick, the sack tap is awkward to pull off as it requires you to double-tap the grab button by default. To perform the sack tap grab trick, you need to point your analog stick in the bottom-left corner (you can also do the same thing using your d-pad) and double-tap B / Circle on your controller.
