Joanna Gaines has been hard at work on her new show, Mini Reni, where she completes small-scale renovations that produce enormous amounts of joy. From a beautiful flower-pressing studio to a thoughtfully designed butler's pantry, nothing has been short of awe-inspiring.
And for the finale of the miniature renovation show, Gaines decided to take on an especially meaningful project: a new office space for television personality, author, and journalist Hoda Kotb.
This is a significant highlight for Gaines herself, as this is her first renovation to take place in New York. Despite this project technically being a "mini" renovation, the final transformation was anything but small.

Inside Hoda Kotb's Transformed Office Space
The first stop is the entryway, featuring a gray stone coffee table and the softest curved furniture, making the atmosphere warm and inviting. Though the area is already filled with natural light, Gaines made sure to include plenty of ambient lighting like candles, lamps, and a tiered accent chandelier.

The new conference space embodies a chic dining area, opposed to a stereotypically bland meeting room. A long wooden table and plush curved chairs can comfortably seat eight people, and the space is finished with a beige-colored rug. There’s even a coffee bar and kitchen area behind the dining table, adorned with a delicate backsplash.

Kotb’s private office is possibly the star of the show, boasting darling plaid chairs, a striking white desk with ovular legs, and a cozy rolling desk chair. The space is accented with greenery, candlesticks, a record player, and lamps.

It's All About the Details
The details make Kotb’s office feel more like a designer home than a sterile workspace. For example, Gaines sourced vintage doors from Portugal to become the entryway to each small private office. A propagation wall filled with plants from Gaines’ garden brings greenery and life to the office, along with vases full of dried blooms scattered throughout.
Kotb also wanted the space to honor both of her daughters, and Gaines more than delivered. The office features artwork of her daughters’ handprints and a memory box filled with drawings and letters from them. Kotb's work motto, written on an office wall, alludes to the names of her daughters.
"My daughter's first name is Hope, and my older daughter's middle name is Joy," Kotb said in the press release. "So, I say, “Built with Hope, made for Joy."
