I’ve gone through quite a few robot pool vacuum cleaners throughout my four summers of being a homeowner, and the one that has impressed me most and stuck around the longest is the BeatBot AquaSense Pro (which I reviewed last year). Sadly, it’s out of stock right now, but you can get a newer, upgraded model, the BeatBot Aquasense 2, that’s just as good—and it’s on sale.
Here’s what I’ve learned throughout my many summers of testing robot pool cleaners: The best ones are cordless—hands down. Nothing is more convenient than a cordless pool vacuum. No wires, no tangles, no tripping, and no getting stuck. Second, the more modes, the better. You want something that can do it all, including cleaning floors and walls, and a pool vac that can also skim the waterline is a big time-saving bonus, too. The BeatBot Aquasense 2 does all of this and more with 16 precision sensors that can navigate pools up to 3,230 square feet. And best of all, it’s $600 off right now.

This newer BeatBot model still features everything I love about the original, including Wi-Fi capabilities, Bluetooth connection to the app, and poolside surface parking. The surface parking is one of the robot’s most convenient features; when it has finished cleaning the entire pool, it will automatically “dock” itself by climbing up the pool wall and resting at the surface. Because it automatically returns to the surface, it’s easier to grab it out of the water—no hook or fishing around at the bottom required. (It’s easier on my back and neck, too!) Plus, it works on all pool types, including inground and aboveground pools, concrete, tile, vinyl, and fiberglass.
The pool cleaner’s waterline skimming feature is a massive time saver. If you know the feeling of wanting to dive into the water on a hot day only to realize you have to take 30 minutes to skim it first, then you’ll appreciate this feature, too. With up to four hours of runtime on a single charge, the AquaSense 2 scrubs the waterline twice per pass, leaving it crystal clear and completely devoid of leaves, bugs, and other floating debris. Once it’s powered out, it can be charged on a wireless charging dock, which means no exposed cords or ports.
My favorite robotic pool cleaner may be out of stock right now, but its newer, upgraded model is now on sale for $600 off, and well worth every penny. Grab the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Cordless Robotic Pool Vacuum for only $999 on Amazon, and never trip over a cord or manually skim the surface of your pool again.
