How do you earn easy high scores in THPS 3+4? To become the pro skater you were always meant to be, you're going to have to learn how to rack up huge high scores. After all, every level features a high score and combo score challenge, so it's worth knowing how to make these goals that much easier.

Early on in your skateboard game career, you're going to run into challenges like how to grind the molten bucket, and how to nosegrind around the horn, goals that are more confusing than difficult. Earning easy high scores in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be difficult at first, but once you know the trick to building your multiplier, you'll breeze through every one of these goals.

How to earn easy high scores in Tony Hawk

Ranking up a high score in THPS 3+4 can be quite challenging, especially if you don't have a lot of room to bust a move. Fortunately, we know a foolproof method that will help you break the 100,000 mark, and with enough practice, you'll smash the one million milestone in no time.

Set your special moves

As you've probably worked out, your score is determined by the moves you pull off, multiplied by the number of moves you perform in a combo. The most difficult part of racking up massive combos is building a strong base score. While there are some levels that can make building a score tricky, all you really need is a halfpipe to get going.

To make this process easier, you first need to set your special moves in the Skater tab on the pause screen. By having access to the moves with the highest score values, you can instantly build a healthy base score. The special move with the highest score potential is The 900, but this can be tough to land when you're brand new as you don't have enough stat points. Until you can acquire enough stats to put into Air, Hangtime, and Speed, you can focus on specials like Indy Backflip and Misty Flip instead.

Add some spins to your moves

When you get the hang of this, you can take things up a notch by taking advantage of spins while performing special moves. By holding down LB or RB / L1 or R1 while in the air, you can add thousands to your score in a matter of seconds.

For example, Indy Backflip adds 4,000 to your score, but if you add two spins to turn it into a 540 Indy Backflip, you can triple this to 12,000. When you add in a Boneless at the start of the combo for more air and a Revert as you land, you're already on your way to smashing your goals. You should aim for a minimum base score of 7,000, but if you want to reach the millions, we recommend going for 20,000 by utilizing The 900 special move once you're able to consistently land it.

Build your multiplier with Manual moves

To keep things simple, you just need to break into a Manual to focus on your multiplier. When you're performing a Manual, you can double-tap any of the face buttons (aside from Ollie) to perform another trick while you're still in a Manual.

By mashing the buttons and focusing on your balance, it takes roughly ten seconds to add 15 moves to your multiplier. If we take our 540 Indy Backflip as a base, then add a Manual with 15 moves, you're already at 180,000, enough to shatter most of the game's score challenges. Of course, you can take this much further by utilizing rails and lip tricks to do the same thing, making it possible to break beyond the million mark.
