How to help raise the ferry in THPS 3+4

How do you help raise the ferry in THPS 3+4? The final level in the THPS 3 campaign is the Cruise Ship, featuring some of the most confusing challenges the game has to offer. Once you raise the ferry, you'll not only complete the goal, but it also contains the secret Iron Galaxy logo.

Just like the invert the high wires challenge, it's unclear what you need to do on Cruise Ship to complete this tricky goal in the skateboarding game. Though the raise the ferry goal in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 may seem straightforward, you won't be able to repair it without picking up the hidden toolbox located somewhere on the boat.

When you approach the repairman who is trying to fix the ferry's control panel, you will receive a message telling you to find a toolbox. The toolbox is actually a lot closer to the repairman than you might expect, but it's not in a location that anyone would visit, let alone a mechanic… Anyway, the toolbox is located on the raised platform closest to the repairman.

There are many ways to reach this platform, but our preferred way is to build up your special gauge to ensure you can accelerate as fast as your skater can travel. Once you're ready, locate the repairman and skate down the length of the ship until you reach the climbing wall.

Reach top speed by launching off the halfpipe nearby, then wallride the climbing wall and jump to the rail underneath the 'Cruise Climb' sign. As you're grinding the rail, be prepared to jump to the raised platform right away. Keep in mind that you will need to watch your step as it's easy to fall off the ledge. Once you reach the ledge, jump right away to stay inside the area, then use the ramp to get to the proceeding platform.

Skate further down to find the orange toolbox perched on the ledge. All you need to do is skate into it, displaying the text "You found a toolbox!", in addition to a toolbox symbol on the left side of your screen. Once you've grabbed the toolbox, the repairman is right in front of you, so skate towards him and the ferry will rise, giving you access to the coveted Iron Galaxy logo.
