OLED gaming monitors are becoming easier to find below $500, but getting one from a major brand with QHD resolution and a genuinely fast response time can still cost plenty. Amazon’s latest Samsung deal makes that jump much easier to justify.
As of July 15, the G50SF version of Samsung’s 27-inch Odyssey OLED G5 gaming monitor is on sale at Amazon for $349.54 — with a sizable 30% cut taking $150.45 from its $499.99 list price. Shipped and sold directly from Amazon, and arriving at your door as soon as July 16 at the time of writing (if you’re a Prime member), the OLED G5 grants you a fantastic QHD panel with a 2560x1440 resolution for just under $350.

Whether you’re watching movies on Netflix or playing the latest single-player titles, like Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, this will make any desktop experience far sharper and more immersive than standard HD. That’s thanks to Samsung’s display combining deep OLED black levels with HDR10, brighter highlights, and more detailed shadows. It's even Pantone Validated, with support for more than 2,100 colours and over 110 skin-tone shades.
What’s more, its 180Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GtG response time are built for smoother motion and faster reactions in multiplayer games like Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, and Overwatch. NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility and AMD FreeSync are included as well, helping the screen stay in sync with your GPU to reduce tearing, lag, and choppy-looking action.

Plus, Samsung’s Glare Free coating is designed to cut reflections from external light, while OLED Safeguard uses thermal modulation, logo and taskbar detection, and a screen saver to help reduce burn-in risks. Black Equalizer, Virtual Aim Point, and Auto Source Switch+ round out the gaming extras.
