How to unlock the Spongebob level in THPS 3+4

How do you unlock the Spongebob level in THPS 3+4? We've seen some interesting collaborations with the Tony Hawk games in the past, but this Spongebob crossover might just take the crown as the best in the series.

By jumping off a specific rail, you can get a glimpse of the titular sponge's pineapple-shaped home under the sea. While you can take a trip to Bikini Bottom, we're sad to report that the Spongebob level in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 isn't a full-blown level. What's particularly great about this easter egg is that you don't need to complete any goals like the grind the molten bucket challenge, you just need to head to the right area in the skateboarding game.

To get to the Spongebob level in THPS 3+4, you need access to Skater Island in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 campaign. Once you're on your skateboard, go through one of the giant holes located on the left side of the level, leading to a docked pirate ship. Make your way to the pirate ship via the bridge, then use the ramp towards the right side of the boat to get to the boat's bow.

If you're playing this level for the first time, you should be able to see a stat point on the exact area you need to reach. You'll need to hold up on your d-pad or analog stick while skating up the ramp on the bow, then proceed to grind the bowsprit (yes, that's actually what it's called).

At the end of the bowsprit, ollie into the sea and aim for the life buoy ring in the water. It is possible to land away from the buoy, but doing so will put you back on the boat. If you did it correctly, you should see the iconic Spongebob "Several Days Later" scene transition, before being sent directly to Bikini Bottom.

Though you can access this wooden rail by grinding along the side of the boat, we weren't able to trigger the transition over to the Spongebob level without directly going down the middle of the ramp. Once you've arrived, you may be disappointed to find that there are only four ramps to jump off. The final two ramps lead towards the promised land, though it's impossible to reach these iconic landmarks.

When you jump into the large gap, you'll end up back on Skater Island, with the words "Jaws of death!" appearing in the center of the screen. Be warned that as you fall into the abyss, make sure you jump in knowing that you're about to land on solid ground, so don't hold any grab tricks while you're falling.
