Samsung's plan for this Samsung Unpacked event, it seems, is to reveal a foldable phone for everyone.
Case in point: The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a cheaper variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
The two phones share a similar, flip-phone design, and a number of specifications and features, but the key word here is price: While the regular Galaxy Z Flip 7 starts at $1,099.99, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE can be had for $899.99.
So what do you lose by going for the more affordable model? Both phones have a 6.9-inch AMOLED main display, but the FE has a slightly smaller, 3.4-inch display (compared to the Z Flip 7's 4.1-inch display. Both phones have a duo of 50/12-megapixel cameras on the back, plus a 10-megapixel selfie camera. The FE has a slightly less powerful chip inside, less RAM and storage, and a slightly smaller battery.
The differences aren't negligible, so potential buyers will have to weigh whether they'd rather have the more powerful version or save two hundred bucks.
