New Disney Dreamlight Valley DLC update welcomes Princess Aurora and Maleficent

It's been nearly three years since Disney Dreamlight Valley first came out, and it's yet to release its magical hold over me. Forget Stardew Valley, Palia, or Animal Crossing, I'd rather spend my evenings fishing with Goofy, cooking with Tiana, or delving into the Dreamlight library with Merlin. Now, with the long-awaited Sleeping Beauty arriving today, I can see my summer plans rapidly disappearing.

The update for this popular life game is now available, with Part 2: The Unwritten Realm allowing you to finally befriend the villainous Maleficent in the Vale, as well as our sleepy newcomer Princess Aurora.

In the grand finale for Dreamlight Valley's The Storybook Vale, you return to the Vale to reunite with old friends, save Maleficent from the Unwritten Realm, and step between the pages of a storybook to find and befriend Aurora. Meanwhile, Maleficent and Hades are scheming, and you'll need to discover what they've got hidden up their sleeves and put a stop to their nefarious plots to save the Vale once and for all.

A whole host of new content is also waiting alongside new story quests for the expansion, including new friendship quests, evasive new Snippets, and stunning new items and outfits that will allow you to dress like the princess, or villain, you've always wanted to be. There are also several bug fixes, improvements, and tweaks as part of the update, and to get the full rundown you can read the full patch notes here.

The Storybook Vale update comes just weeks after the base game saw The Mysteries of Skull Rock update introduce Peter Pan to the Valley, along with a Pirate-themed Star Path, and loads of new updates for players, including companion quests.
