Next Minecraft Live date estimate - here's how to watch it
When is the next Minecraft Live 2026? As the spiritual successor to Minecon, Mojang's bi-annual livestream event is a major landmark on the Minecraft community calendar. It covers the latest content updates, developer insights, and exclusive previews for spin-off games and other ancillary projects.
In short, the next Minecraft Live is a must-see event for any Minecraft fan, especially if you're looking forward to the next update. The Tiny Takeover stole the spotlight at the first Minecraft Live of this year, triggering an avalanche of adorable Minecraft mobs alongside the Chaos Cubed update available in Java. We expect an update of similar scope to be announced in the next livestream - but when is it? Here's how to tune in and see the reveals for yourself.

When is the next Minecraft Live?
Currently, we estimate that the next Minecraft Live will air sometime in September 2026.
This is because the most recent Minecraft Live was held on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The livestream runs on a bi-annual cycle, so the next one is almost certain to arrive around six months after that, putting its air date sometime this fall, around the end of September. What's more, the air dates for 2025's Minecraft Live were also held in March and September - lining up with our expectation for this year's remaining event.
Contrary to its name, Minecraft Live is a pre recorded broadcast. It'll last between thirty minutes and an hour, so tune in early to avoid missing out on any big reveals!

You'll be able to watch the next Minecraft Live right here on PCGamesN - we'll embed the official YouTube broadcast above. Simply click on it to start watching.
Minecraft Live is also available to view on YouTube, Twitch, and the official website.
The pre-show event kicks off around half an hour before Minecraft Live's official event time. Traditionally, this segment includes a recap featuring well-known Minecraft content creators looking back on everything that's happened since the previous livestream.

Minecraft Live announcements, leaks, and rumors
It's a little too early for Mojang to offer any clues or teasers for the next Minecraft Live, but we have a general idea of what to expect based on previous livestreams.
The broadcast usually includes at least one content drop, plus a roadmap update and a surprise reveal. During the last Minecraft Live broadcast, these announcements consisted of Tiny Takeover, Chaos Cubed, and Minecraft Dungeons 2.
Since Chaos Cubed is still in the testing phase, it's almost certain that Minecraft Live September 2026 will include the full release version alongside a snapshot of what comes next. We wouldn't be surprised to see a new biome or experimental mechanic to extend the uses for the sulfur cube.
Since the Minecraft Dungeons 2 reveal only consisted of a brief announcement trailer, the next Minecraft Live will likely include an in-depth look and actual gameplay footage ahead of its release date on September 29, 2026. A late-2026 livestream would also be the perfect opportunity for Mojang to launch a marketing push for Minecraft World, a theme park area opening next year at Chessington World of Adventures in the UK.
You're all prepared for Minecraft Live! Be there and be square. We'll bring you a full rundown of everything announced after the livestream wraps, along with all the latest news for the next Minecraft Live after that.
