Stardew Valley's biggest rival Palia adds slew of quests with huge new update

With summer in full swing, now's the perfect time to venture into the great outdoors, touch some grass, and make some new friends - all from within the comfortable confines of your own home, of course.  And there is nowhere more cozy than the world of Palia, especially in the wake of its new Solstice Bloom update.

There's a whole host of new content now available in the free-to-play MMORPG, including Umbraan Decor as well as toothy new plushies, the River Shark and Elder Shark. They'll be right at home in the new Plushie Pool, perfect for your new fintastic friends and their snuggly pals.

The new Palia update also offers you not one, not two, but five new discovery quests that let you dive deeper into various resident's backstories, from sneaking around with smugglers to a journey with the Bahari Boys. There's also a brand new romantic quest, and are those wedding bells I hear?

Grown tired of your name and looking to rebrand? Then you'll be pleased to hear that you can now also change your full name and nickname once every 30 days by logging into accounts.palia.com.

And if that wasn't enough to have you walking on sunshine, there are plenty of improvements, bug fixes and tweaks, too, heavily expanding on last month's Radiance Rising update, as well as new offerings in the premium store. The full patch notes outline everything you can find in the new update.

The Palia Solstice Bloom update is out now.  You can play it for free on Steam or the Epic Games store.
