New Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries DLC gives you another campaign to stomp through

That's why I'm incredibly excited by the prospect of a new Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries DLC, as the hardcore shooter is about to get even bigger, and better, later this year.

When it comes to the best mech games on PC, Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries is definitely one you need to consider playing. Boasting an impressive 84% positive Steam score from over 10,000 user reviews, it's the ultimate heavy metal power fantasy. Set in the 31st century, humanity has colonized thousands of planets across what it now calls the Inner Sphere. You take up arms as a merc looking to capitalize on the ever-growing conflicts, and it just so happens that business is absolutely booming.

As a Battlemech pilot, you clamber into the hulking metal monsters to rain down fire on anyone brave enough to face you. If you love Titanfall 2's gameplay as much as I do, it's the perfect way to get your hands dirty. You also have a wide range of mech chassis, sub-variants, and equipment to choose from, giving you plenty of ways to start blasting. The maintenance and upgrading of your vehicle is just as important as the fights themselves, though, so you'll want to spend time tinkering away on your designs before battle.

Developer Piranha Games Inc has now revealed the game's new DLC, Shadow of Kerensky. Set for release later this year, it'll greatly expand everything you can do in Mercenaries. You've got 12 all-new story missions to beat, which'll put you face to face with the deadly clan invasion. You even have 16 Omnimechs, new weapons, 13 new variants, and more hero pilots to recruit.
