Dead by Daylight The Walking Dead chapter revealed with two iconic survivors

Behaviour Interactive is officially revealing the Dead by Daylight The Walking Dead chapter, and it's absolutely packed. Rick Grimes and Michonne are coming to the asymmetrical horror game, with plenty of perks to make them feel like worthwhile additions. Following on from finally getting Five Nights At Freddy's in the game, DBD clearly isn't slowing down in its pursuit of major crossovers.

Earlier this year Behaviour Interactive finally teased a crossover with The Walking Dead, and now it's here. Faded letters on Dead by Daylight's latest roadmap appeared to spell out the phrase: 'The Ones Who Live.' Now we know what that means: Rick Grimes and Michonne are coming as survivors.

Rick Grimes joins one of the best horror games on PC as a natural leader, with his three character-specific perks reflecting his willingness to do whatever it takes. First up is his Apocalyptic Ingenuity perk, which gives him the ability to rummage through chests to turn broken pallets into fragile ones. Then there's Come and Get Me, where if you remain crouched and idle after unhooking a survivor, you can make all nearby injured and dying survivors silent and hide their pools of blood. Rick will scream, however, and this'll briefly reveal his aura to the killer. Lastly there's Teamwork: Toughen Up, which reduces your own grunts, scratch marks, and pools of blood for a time if another nearby survivor pallet stuns or blinds the killer.

Now we come to Michonne. Her first perk is called Conviction, and activates when you heal another survivor. This gives you the chance to instantly recover while trying to get out of the dying state for a brief window. It will also make you broken, which means you'll return to the dying state if you don't heal in time.

She also has Last Stand, which you can spend while in the killer's terror radius but not in a chase. If you do, fast-vaulting when near a killer will stun them for a short time. Finally, we come to Teamwork: Throw Down. If you manage to successfully pallet stun a killer, you'll give all nearby injured survivors endurance and reveal the killer's aura to them.

That's not all you get in the crossover, though. Some of the show's most iconic locales have been made in a unique map tile, which shows up whenever Rick or Michonne are in the Garden of Joy. You can see either the prison, or even the first episode's 'Don't Open Dead Inside' door.

You can play Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead on the PTB right now, with a full Chapter launch coming on Tuesday July 29.
