We're checking back in with the Destiny 2 system requirements ahead of the Edge of Fate expansion dropping later this month. It's one of two expansions set to launch in 2025, and brings with it a ton of new content from stories and missions to weapons a gear.
Destiny 2 is gearing up for the Edge of Fate release date, but for now, there are no advertised changes coming to the already chunky file size. Thankfully, the main game requirements also haven't changed, and you still don't need the best graphics card to start exploring the galaxy.
Here are the Destiny 2 system requirements for 2025:

Since the now decade-plus old Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7850 meet the Destiny 2 minimum requirements, any modern GPU should have no trouble running the game. On the CPU front, you'll need an Intel Core i3 3250, Intel Pentium G4560, or AMD FX 4350.
The Destiny 2 recommended specs are similarly forgiving, with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 and AMD Radeon R9 390 taking over pixel-pushing duties. CPU and RAM requirements remain tame, with quad-core processors and 8GB of memory doing just fine here.
If you want to push for the Destiny 2 ultra specs, it's a case of making quite the jump in hardware. These are not official guidelines, but where we predict your hardware will need to be. You'll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 paired with an Intel Core i5 12600K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. We would also recommend 16GB of RAM.
The Destiny 2 download size has ballooned over the years, and ahead of The Edge of Fate, you're going to need a massive 300GB of free space to install the game, even though the true file size is close to 160GB, according to Bungie.
It's safe to say that having one of the best SSDs for gaming will be a huge help here, as even the faster mechanical drives will take an age to load content in-game.
