Although LG boasts some of the most A-grade OLED gaming monitors around, Amazon still surprises us with huge discounts on the range.
As of May 29, Amazon has dropped the price of the LG 27-inch UltraGear OLED gaming monitor to $499.99 — 44% off from its usual $899.99 list price. With this new lowest-ever price (confirmed with price tracker camelcamelcamel), you’re getting a 27-inch OLED panel with QHD 2560x1440 resolution — an affordable halfway point that’s a jump over 1080p but not as intensive as 4K.
As for speed, this particular UltraGear model boasts a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time, so fast-moving games should feel especially smooth — whether you’re having a few rounds of League of Legends or playing the biggest new single-player cinematic adventures like 007: First Light.

What’s more, LG’s inclusion of NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro cuts out any extra worry, as it reduces stuttering and screen tearing.
To make visuals even better, OLED gets even better with the added VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, a 1.5M:1 contrast ratio, and up to 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which should give games, movies, and HDR content deeper blacks and more dramatic color than a standard gaming monitor.
Other useful extras include an anti-glare OLED screen, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB ports, a virtually borderless design, and a stand with height, tilt, and pivot adjustments. LG also backs the monitor with a two-year UltraGear OLED warranty, including the OLED display panel.
