PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is one of the most well-known survival shooter battle royale games you can dive into, and the PUBG system requirements remain unchallenging. In fact, the minimum specs calls for decade-old hardware, so even a dusty laptop or entry-level gaming PC should be able to get the game running with confidence.

PUBG doesn't demand the best graphics card but if you're chasing the highest fps possible, it will certainly help. In any online multiplayer experience, fps becomes a matter of victory or defeat, so you'll want to know what the best PUGB settings are. If you only just meet the minimum specs and aren't getting a decent fps, you might want to consider an upgrade if you want to see the phrase "Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!"

Here are the PUBG system requirements in 2025:

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 or later Windows 10 or later
GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 960
AMD Radeon R7 370
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
AMD Radeon RX 580
CPU AMD FX-6300
Intel Core i5-4430
AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Intel Core i5-6600K
RAM 8GB 16GB
Storage 40GB 50GB

The PUBG minimum requirements are very low, at least compared to most modern AAA games. You'll only need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R7 370 GPU paired with an Intel Core i5-4430 or AMD FX-6300 CPU and 8GB of RAM to get the game running. This shouldn't pose much of a challenge for older gaming laptops, and you can expect to get roughly 30fps gameplay at 1080p on the lowest graphical presets with a lowered render scale.

There is a little jump across the board for the PUGB recommended specs, with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 GPU needed alongside a Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-6600K CPU. The RAM requirement doubles at this level, calling for 16GB of memory. You should get 60fps at 1080p using either medium or high graphical presets on the recommended hardware, but you can compensate for any lag or fps drops by adjusting the in-game settings.

The PUBG download size sits at a modest 40GB, but you'll need an extra 10GB for the optional graphics packs which contain a number of PUBG skins. You won't need to install the game on an SSD, but we'd highly using one of the best gaming SSDs to reduce your in-game load times.
