It's finally time to enjoy some frantic mech-based combat, if your PC can handle the Mecha Break system requirements, that is. This free-to-play game is stacked with customization options and solid combat mechanics, and its requirements suggest it's simple to run, even on older or budget gaming PCs.

While you won't need the best graphics card to run Mecha Break, there's certainly a benefit to packing a bit more power in your gaming PC, as your frame rate will be far smoother at higher graphical settings. Initial community feedback suggests the game is still well-optimized for low-end GPUs, however, and we're excited to see how the game performs on the best gaming handhelds, too.

The RAM requirement is also only 8GB, but given that upgrading to the best gaming RAM is a fairly cheap and simple upgrade, it's well worth doing to future-proof your gaming PC.

As for the Mecha Break recommended specs, these take a decent jump up, but are still within reach of mid-range and budget gaming PC builds, although there's also some wild variation between the Intel and AMD CPUs required.

You'll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT paired with an Intel Core i7 10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D. The RAM requirements at their tier also double to 16GB, which is where most modern 3D games are expected to sit as standard.

These specs are somewhat confusing, as there is a mix of budget and mid-range GPUs from different generations, while the selected Intel CPU is considerably older than the 5700X3D. This could point to the game being better optimized for Intel hardware, but ultimately, only the developers know why this hardware has been selected. As always, these listings are subject to change as the game could receive updates that change the requirements over time.

The Mecha Break download size is listed on the Steam page at 60GB. This, of course, is also subject to change over time as content and quality of life updates arrive, but this figure is a great guide for now.
