The Diablo 4 system requirements haven't changed much since the release of the Vessel of Hatred DLC and subsequent updates. With the Sins of the Horadrim season going live, now's a great time to spin up the game once again, assuming your gaming rig is ready to battle the legions of Hell.

Diablo 4 is a very different game from when it first launched, with ray tracing now enabled if you have one of the best graphics cards or a similarly compatible gaming PC. The latest Diablo 4 season, Sins of the Horadrim, introduces numerous class changes, new Horadric spells, and gives you a way to weaken the final Act 2 boss, Astaroth. So, why wait?

Here are the Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred system requirements in 2025:

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 64-bit Windows 10 64-bit
CPU Intel Core i5 2500K
AMD FX 8350
Intel Core i5 4760K
AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
RAM 8GB 16GB
GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 660
AMD Radeon R9 280
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
AMD Radeon RX 470
Storage 90GB SSD 90GB SSD

The Diablo 4 minimum requirements are pretty tame by modern standards, achieving a respectable performance on hardware as old as an AMD R9 280 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and a decade-old CPU like the Intel Core i5 2500K or AMD FX 8350. However, as can be expected of such ancient hardware, you'll only be able to achieve, at best, 30fps at 720p on the "Low" graphics preset.

Interestingly, Blizzard states you might be able to get the game to run on hardware below this specification, as they infer the game will try its best to run on HDDs, dual-core CPUs, and integrated GPUs.

Rendering the major regions of Sanctuary with the Diablo 4 recommended specs doesn't call for much hardware, with the developers stating you only need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 and AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card. As far as processors go, you'll need an Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD Ryzen 1300X coupled with 16GB of RAM. This will, however, only net you 60fps at 1080p on the "Medium" graphics preset.

Here are the Diablo 4 high and ultra PC system requirements:

High Ultra 4K
OS Windows 10 64-bit Windows 10 64-bit
CPU Intel Core i7 8700K
AMD Ryzen 2700X
Intel Core i7 8700K
AMD Ryzen 2700X
RAM 16GB 32GB
GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080
AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series
Storage 90GB SSD 90GB SSD

If you want to enjoy the best Diablo 4 settings, you'll start needing some heftier hardware to meet the Diablo 4 high requirements. An Nvidia RTX 2060 or AMD RX 5700 XT graphics card paired with either an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 2700X processor will get you up and running at 60 frames per second at 1080p on the "High" graphics preset. Yet, surprisingly, this isn't actually enough to get the game running with ray tracing enabled unless you're willing to lower the reflections and shadows settings, turn off foliage and particles, and anticipate 30fps performance. You might manage to achieve 60fps on a 1440p monitor with this level of hardware, but you may have to drop down to medium settings.

Blizzard cranks up the hardware heat with the Diablo 4 ultra requirements, calling for the power of the RTX 40 series, RTX 3080, and AMD RX 6800 XT graphics cards to achieve full 4K resolution on the "Ultra" graphics preset at 60fps. In conjunction with one of the best graphics card options, you'll also need an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU and 32GB of the best gaming RAM to meet the ultra specs. That said, if you are looking to enable ray tracing, you'll want to take advantage of the full Nvidia DLSS 3 suite, including Super Resolution and Frame Generation with the RTX 4080. The GeForce tools can boost fps further than ever using the power of AI upscaling, and it could make all the difference if you're aiming for sky-high frame rates.

There's no mention of Intel Arc cards, unfortunately. However, team blue claims that the Intel Arc A770 is more than capable of hitting over 100fps with XeSS enabled.

The Diablo 4 download size is what you'd expect of a AAA game, requiring 90GB of SSD space to install the game. Technically, HDDs are compatible and can run the game with major settings downgrades, but you certainly won't benefit from the performance of one of our best SSD for gaming picks if you're still rocking a rickety old hard drive.
