The Escape From Tarkov 1.0 date has now been decided, Battlestate head confirms

It's been a long wait, but Battlestate Games has finally decided on a release date for Escape from Tarkov 1.0, and an official reveal looks imminent. We know that a new EFT wipe is incoming and also that the Escape From Tarkov Steam launch is due to arrive after 1.0. But now BSG studio head Nikita Buyanov confirms that the studio has settled on the timing for the extraction shooter's 1.0 release.

Responding to a player on social media, who asks about the pending Escape From Tarkov 1.0 release date, Battlestate Games' head of studio Nikita Buyanov confirms the launch day for the landmark version of the FPS game has been decided "in house." Previously, the date was scheduled to be announced before the end of Q2 2025. As of Monday June 30, however, the second quarter has now ended - but Buyanov at least says that BSG is preparing for a "public announcement" about Escape From Tarkov 1.0.

The team's preparation for a public announcement suggests a release date reveal is likely soon. We already know Battlestate Games has two more patches to roll out to Escape from Tarkov, one in July and one in August, with the official 2025 roadmap pointing to the 1.0's release sometime after the August update. This could hint at a September release date, given that these updates have been released every month since May.

If Escape from Tarkov 1.0 does arrive in September, we likely won't see the Steam release until at least October, as the studio has stated this version won't launch until the shooter hits a more complete 1.0 version.
