If you loved Balatro, don't miss your chance to get this indie deck builder at under $3

If Balatro completely took over your brain (totally understandable), then you might want to pay attention to this one. Fanatical's latest Platinum Collection is packed with discounted Steam games, and hidden among them is a weird little gem called This Ain't Even Poker, Ya Joker (wow, it rhymes) - and yes, the game is just as unhinged as its title.

At its core, This Ain't Even Poker, Ya Joker plays in that same delicious space as Balatro: cards, strategy, a bit of chaos, and the slow, addictive climb toward completely broken builds. But instead of leaning into traditional poker hands, it throws structure out the window. You're battling a sinister Jester, unlocking upgrades, stacking absurd synergies, and gradually turning your deck into a reality-warping mess of numbers and effects.

It's scrappy, fast, and dare I say a bit feral? As you unlock upgrades, you can break some rules and add more cards to your hand, destroy cards you don't want in your deck, send minions on expeditions… these quirky innovations help This Ain't Poker, Ya Joker feel distinct when compared to what came before.

Fanatical's "build your own" bundle format is pretty straightforward, but also where the real value comes in. You pick a minimum of 3 games to start, then unlock better pricing per game if you go up to 5 or 7 titles. So the more you add, the cheaper each game becomes, which is how you can end up snagging something like This Ain't Even Poker, Ya Joker for under $3 / £3.

You're essentially curating your own mini Steam library, instead of being locked into a fixed bundle. Which is a bit dangerous, in a "well I may as well add one more…" kind of way, but who among us doesn't have hundreds of Steam games they've never played before in their library? It's nice to be met with a broad range of options when it comes time to choose your next game.

If you want something atmospheric, the Platinum Collection also includes Gloomy Eyes, which delivers a Tim Burton-esque vibe with cozy-spooky storytelling. For horror fans, The Evil Within (and its sequel) brings that classic, nerve-wracking survival tension. There's also Outbreak Island for sandbox horror (yes, a lot of horror in this bundle), and Metal Garden, a sci-fi shooter with an overwhelmingly positive reception that leans into exploration and mystery.

The only catch? This is a limited-time deal, and like most Fanatical bundles, it's also subject to key availability, meaning it can disappear early if stock runs out.  This particular bundle is only running until Thursday, April 30th, and keys for any given game could run out much sooner.

If your brain is still wired for deckbuilding post-Balatro, this might just be your next obsession.
