With Humble Choice at almost half price, you can now get 8 Steam Deck-friendly games for just $1 each

Humble Bundle is being suspiciously generous again. As ever, the lineup of Humble Choice games gives you good value for money in terms of the cost of the subscription versus what the games would normally cost, but now a special offer code is bringing the subscription fee down to almost half price. This means you're effectively getting eight games, including Tempest Rising and Chants of Sennaar, for just $1 each. Yes, actual maths.

If you caught my last piece, I was raving about Chants of Sennaar and you're lucky because you still have a chance to get this gem as part of this month's bundle. But this time, I want to shine the light on this month's louder, dustier game: Tempest Rising.

Tempest Rising feels like someone cracked open a time capsule from the golden age of RTS games. It wears its inspiration on its sleeve, and you'll recognise it if you're a Command & Conquer fan: building a base, gathering resources, and slowly overwhelming your opponent with an army you've meticulously crafted. It's a good formula.

In a gaming landscape full of sprawling open worlds and endless systems, Tempest Rising offers something refreshingly focused, clean, and strategic. You build, you plan, you execute. Then, if you don't like waging war alone, you can play with friends, and that's cool. It's also one of those games that works surprisingly well on Steam Deck despite being labelled "playable" rather than fully verified. A lot of these titles sit in that sweet spot where they're flexible, pick-up-and-play friendly, and perfect for handheld sessions.

In our Tempest Rising review, Ed said, "Though on the surface it's a simple tribute to Command and Conquer, Tempest Rising breaks free of its influences with a visual style and mechanical flourishes all of its own," and scored it an 8/10. Go and read the full review if you want more detail, but TLDR: it's great.

And the rest of the lineup? Still kind of stacked.

You've got that previously-mentioned Chants of Sennaar, plus titles like Etrian Odyssey III HD, the co-op chaos of Bread & Fred, and the survival sandbox Smalland: Survive the Wild. It's a mix that swings between thoughtful, tactical, and chaotic - different energies to appeal to different moods.

The key thing here isn't just the games (though they're solid), it's the value. For this month, Humble Choice membership drops to $8 makes it one of those "how could I ever refuse?" moments. After all, you'll get to keep this batch of games forever.

So yeah, if you've been hovering over the subscribe button, this is your sign. The offer expires on Tuesday, April 7th, so go go go. You can get the deal here by using the code MARCH26 at checkout.

Come for Tempest Rising, stay for the unexpected gems, and leave with eight new games you'll definitely play… eventually. Wink.
