When is the Dead by Daylight anniversary event 2025? Every year, to celebrate the original release date of the asymmetrical horror game, players are invited to a very twisted masquerade. This year is no different, and the annual anniversary event is back this June, though it does mark the last Dead By Daylight Twisted Masquerade ever.

During the Dead by Daylight ninth anniversary livestream on May 27, 2025, you might have been focused on the FNAF chapter details, but there was another ground-breaking announcement: this year's Twisted Masquerade is the last. We've been promised something new and exciting for the tenth anniversary of the horror game, but this year we need to make the most of Trixie and her bag of tricks while we still can. Here's everything we know about the Twisted Masquerade 2025.

The final Dead by Daylight Twisted Masquerade has been delayed to start on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST.

Instead of adding anything new, the team focused on making this event perfect. This includes quality of life changes like a change to instant hooking. What's more, remaining characters missing masks get their outfits this year, and all previous outfits will be available to buy so you can complete your masquerade collection.

Trix and her bag of tricks

Introduced last year, Trix is a non-playable character who 'hosts' the Twisted Masquerade. She has exclusive voice lines narrating the event in the pre-match lobby and in-game.

As the match wears on, Trix again gets out her bag of tricks (or treats) such as spawning new chests, giving players haste, and more. The more objectives you complete, the more Trix tricks you experience.

Twisted Masquerade invites

Twisted Masquerade invitations are also back this year. These invitations grant specific effects in-game to boost your gameplay, but remember that the other team also gets this same advantage. These effects include survivor 'quiet mode', keeping you out of harm's way for a while. For the killer, there is the option to immediately send survivors to a hook across the map. However, since this was hard to counter in 2024, the process takes a little longer this time, and survivors can get that flashlight save in if they're quick.

Twisted Masquerade cosmetics and rewards

This year's twisted masks and other cosmetic rewards complete the collection, ensuring that every original character available right now has their outfit ready for the party. Two licensed characters are getting in on the action as well, with full outfits available in the in-game shop.

Since only one original killer was missing a mask, five more rewards have been added. New Twisted Masquerade weapons are avaiable for:

• The Nurse
• The Spirit

David King and The Wraith are the two final characters without a fit, and they each have a full getup, available by completing event quests. The Lich and Baermar have outfits that can be purchased, along with all previous years' cosmetics.
