Fast-paced platformer Haste opens the gates to chaotic co-op

The first time I saw Haste in action, I became instantly obsessed. Landfall's fast-paced platformer is a masterclass in speed and scale, and the type of game I easily lose track of time playing. If, like me, you're a fan of movement shooters and slick platformers, Haste is absolutely for you. Right now's the ideal time to jump in, too, as Landfall has just dropped co-op functionality for the game, meaning you can start flying across the screen with friends.

Like Mirror's Edge, Titanfall, and Neon White, Haste is a game about going incredibly fast. Set against the backdrop of a collapsing universe, you need to race through a collection of procedurally generated levels, running, jumping, and gliding through myriad obstacles at lightning speeds. There are plenty of items to customize your builds, too, which can give you an edge and stop you from face-planting into any rapidly approaching obstacles.

Releasing earlier this year, Landfall has already proven that Haste deserves a spot among our picks for the best parkour games. The game has a 91% positive score from over 6,000 user reviews on Steam, and I'm almost certain that number is about to climb even higher.

As of right now, Haste's new online co-op update is here. This lets you play through the entire game with others, dropping into their game to help them conquer any particularly difficult levels. Co-op has been designed for up to four players, but the new trailer shows even more in the game at once.

"You can join friends through Steam's invite system or by using specific join links if you set your room privacy to public," Landfall writes. "There's no separate mode or anything, you just jump smoothly straight into their game at any point, with every shard and every part of the game playable together!"

To stop you and everyone else from looking alike, Landfall has also added plenty of skins to Haste. You can get new outfits and hats throughout the game, with some awarded after you complete specific tasks, like completing the story mode.
