Bethesda, Epic, Microsoft, and Ubisoft unite in this new Humble Bundle with games under $3 each
All the big giants of videogame creation are gathered here today to give you a good time. A new Humble Bundle that blends big-name studios is out and your purchase will benefit the Entertainment Software Association. Right at the heart of this bundle sits Pentiment, a unique gem that feels like stepping into a living Renaissance manuscript.
Pentiment is a story-driven narrative in which you play as Andreas Maler, an artist caught in a web of intrigue and murder over several decades in 16th-century Bavaria. The most striking thing about this game is its visual art style, inspired by the period's colorful manuscript illuminations. The gameplay is very simple: you wander around looking for clues and talking to people in order to solve a mystery - but this simplicity helps to serve the rich writing and storytelling.
A gameplay aspect that I love to discover in any new title is for your choices to have consequences for your character, and here you need to use your time wisely as you go about interrogating people - the way you get information out of folk might have severe knock-on effects.

In our Pentiment review, Phil Iwaniuk said, "[the game] packs in such dense detail you can't help but respect it." That's certainly to its credit if you're after something you want to sink your teeth into. Go ahead and read the full review if you'd like to learn more.
From there, the Humble Bundle opens up into something much broader, pulling together titles from major studios like Bethesda, Ubisoft, and Microsoft. In a way, you're getting a mini-tour through different corners of modern gaming.
If you're craving something more action-driven, Far Cry Primal offers a wild shift into prehistoric survival, where you trade guns for spears and try to survive during the Stone Age. There is a lot of hunting and taming wild animals here, which I have to say is not really my bag but… it might be yours!
If you prefer stealth to action (that's me!), you should get a lot out of Dishonored 2. Yes, you can unleash chaos in this game if you want, but alternatively, you can opt for the sneaking-through-shadows route - certainly my preferred approach when playing a supernatural assassin.
For something darker and more systemic, Mafia Trilogy lets you rise through the ranks of organised crime across three distinct eras, while State of Decay 2 leans into the tension of community-building during a zombie apocalypse, where every decision can mean survival… or collapse.
Here is a recap of all the games available in the ESA All-Star Alliance Humble Bundle:
- Pentiment
- Mafia Trilogy
- Horizon Chase 2
- Tetris Forever
- Far Cry Primal
- Dishonored 2
- State of Decay 2
- Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions
That's right, eight games in one bundle - that should keep you busy for a while! And you can grab them all for a total of $18 / £16.21. Just don't wait too long: the bundle disappears after Friday, April 3, and, like most good things in life (sigh), it won't hang around forever.
