How to unlock the Ancient Sealed Gate in Crimson Desert
How to unlock the Ancient Sealed Gate in Crimson Desert
How do you unlock the Ancient Sealed Gate? The Skybridge throws interesting challenges at you and awards invaluable fast-travel points as you go - not to mention the fact that you get to skydive to your intended destination. There is one island that forces you back down to earth, however, to solve a fiendish puzzle.
If you're trying to unlock as many fast travel points as you can, there aren't many better ways of doing it than traversing the Skybridge. These puzzles can be tough, but with a skill point on offer as well as a convenient way of getting around Pywel, it's a nice detour if you're having trouble taking down one of the many bosses - we're looking at you, Reed Devil. Here's how to solve one of the most difficult puzzles, the Ancient Sealed Gate.
The main difference between the Ancient Sealed Gate and the rest of the Skybridge puzzles is that this one takes place on solid ground. You're transported to the ground and are given little indication of how to proceed.
First things first: find the puzzle chamber. It's directly below the platform you land on - make your way down the path to find the cave entrance. In this room, you'll notice a pole in the center and three cogs in the ceiling.
To solve the Ancient Sealed Gate puzzle, you need to maneuver the pole in the center using the controls at the back of the room, activating it when below one of the cogs, and turning it until you hear a grinding noise. There is no visual indicator for when the cog is in the correct position, so pay attention to the sounds.
Once all three of these have been correctly oriented, you'll hear machinery activate, and the platform above will lock into place. Head back topside, use an airbourne Force Palm to activate the platform, and use the new jetstream to glide to the next Skybridge island.
Now that you know how to solve the Ancient Sealed Gate puzzle, you can plow on with the whole getting the gang back together plot if you like. We would suggest crafting the Cloudcart as it's much easier to get around in the RPG game if you're a few hundred feet in the air.
