A St. Patrick’s Day party in 2026 is no longer complete without an activity station that will leave your guests completely charmed. A lucky charm party is the cutest theme for your next St. Paddy’s get-together—it’s affordable, easy to set up, and leaves your guests with party favors they’ll actually use. The star of the activity is, of course, a DIY charm bracelet station.

We’ve rounded up all the best tips for setting up your charm party—from the craft station itself to ideas for food, drink, and decor.

How to Decorate Your Charm Station

Define your charm station with a simple tablecloth. Keep your table decorations low and minimal; this way, your guests can all reach the bead bowls in the center of your table and pass them around easily. A few flameless candles or bud vases with fresh flower arrangements can help accessorize.

Large bead or charm garlands are a fun way to decorate the area you’re hosting your charm party in. String them up around your charm station, near your bar cart, or next to your buffet table.

Provide soft but ample lighting around your charm station table, so that guests can clearly see what they’re working on. Well-placed floor lamps and nearby table lamps will keep the space feeling cozy but well-lit.

Setting Up Your Charm Station

Supply your guests with a range of different charms to choose from. Letters, colorful gems, and simple shapes like stars and hearts are always popular. For a little St. Paddy’s Day flair, offer options like rainbows, clouds, and shamrocks. Divide your charms into different bowls or plates so that they’re easy to grab.

Besides the charms themselves, you’ll also want to offer beads to decorate the bracelets your guests make—these will go in between the charms they choose. You’ll likely need more beads than you will charms!

A few rolls of basic bead strings will provide the base for your bracelet. You can also offer metal wire—it’s especially useful for lengthening charms—along with jewelry pliers and scissors. If you want the primary focus of your bracelets to be the charms themselves, then basic jewelry chains are what you’re looking for.

Creating Personalized Charms

To give your guests the option to create personalized charms, a little bit of air-dry clay is all you need. Set out a small selection of different colors, and don’t forget the jump rings so you can attach your homemade charms to a bracelet.

Bracelets aren’t the only thing you can make at a charm station. Stock your supplies with keychains as cute DIY accessories, punch holes in bookmarks and attach strings of charms, or run your charm bracelet through your phone case for a simple strap.

The charm DIYs your guests create will be the main party favors, but you can offer little extras if you want something else for your guests to take home. Small cloth jewelry bags or jewelry boxes are a good option, as are tiny cleaning cloths.

What to Serve at Your Charm Party

If you’re not a fan of Guinness or shepherd's pie, there are many food and drink options you can offer at your charm party.

Treat Guests to a Build-Your-Own Cocktail Station

Try creating a build-your-own cocktail station with seasonal offerings, like Irish cream syrup or coffee and Irish whiskey for an Irish coffee. Matcha powder or crème de menthe will turn your favorite cocktails and mocktails green.

At your water station, you can also set out flavorful add-ins like mint, cucumbers, or lime for a splash of green. When in doubt, serve up your drinks in green-tinted glasses to give everyone’s beverages a green hue.

Serve Foods That Are Easy to Eat

The simpler your main party meal, the better—this way, you’ll have plenty of time to focus on setting up your charm station. A few green dishes will make for an adorable buffet table display.

Arrange a crudité board with veggies like broccoli, green cauliflower, snap peas, and celery; expand your tray to include fruits like green grapes, kiwis, and green apples. All of these items are easy to snack on while your guests work on their charm DIYs. Mains like personal bowls of pesto pasta with a side of Irish soda bread are other themed options to have on hand.

For St. Paddy's dessert, Lucky Charms are a must—warm them with marshmallows for a sweet bite, or whip up a few of Ina Garten’s Irish scones for a sweet, fruity treat.
