If there’s anything my friends and family know for sure about me, it’s that I’m a bedding snob. After years of working to perfect my sleep situation, I can quickly suss out the best and the worst at any price point. The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Just because something is more expensive, doesn’t mean it’s better. Case in point: the Better Homes & Gardens quilts that start at just $60.

In 2024, new machine-washable quilts launched to immediate fanfare, with shoppers saying that they look high-end, have beautiful texture, and are exceptionally durable. Now the popular Matelassé quilt is back, and restocked in two spring-ready colors. (Seriously, you will want them both.)

The beauty of this quilt is in the floral pattern, which, as one shopper pointed out, has a more modern vibe than similar options on the market. In my opinion, however, it can definitely lean vintage if you have a more eclectic aesthetic. The chameleon-level versatility makes it even better!

The blue hue has been my favorite, making a soft statement with the tonal contrast. As a certified Coastal Grandmother, I’d pair the quilt with crisp white sheets, light wood, and woven accents to create my own seaside-inspired escape. The color I have my eye on right now, though, is the rose. It’s a pink that’s both feminine and sophisticated, with near-universal appeal. You also get the same understated juxtaposition as with the blue quilt. (By the way, if you prefer more muted tones, both options are less pigmented on the back.)

Prefer a hotel-like setup? White is the way to go. It’s fresh and simple, using the subtle stitching and texture shoppers love to make a bed feel more dynamic. I’d layer it over a fluffy duvet and (try to) resist the urge to spend all day snuggled underneath. And thanks to its lightweight polyester construction, shoppers confirm it’s great for layering or on its own for spring and summer.

Even if you’re not in the market for new bedding, this Better Homes & Gardens Matelassé quilt can be used for movie nights, picnics, and even tummy time for young parents. Starting at just $60, you should stock up now before it sells out.
