Grounded 2 Omni-tool Tier 3 upgrades

How do you get Grounded 2 Tier 3 Omni-tool upgrades? In a change from the first game, your hammer, axe, and shovel no longer require crafting from scratch. Instead, the futuristic Omni-Tool lets you do everything - as long as you have the right upgrades.

In Grounded 2 early access, you can upgrade your Omni-Hammer, Omni-Shovel, Omni-Axe, and Omni-Wrench to tier two with ease. Some tier three recipes were added during the Winter Update, with others still to come. Thankfully, the addition of the Tier 3 axe and hammer means a bunch of new resources are available to you in the crafting game, so here's how to get them.

Tier 3 Omni-Hammer

To craft the Grounded 2 Tier 3 Omni-Hammer, you need:

• 3,000x Raw Science
• 1x Potato Beetle Head
• 3x Gunpowder Clump

Gunpowder Clumps are obtained from Pop Caps, which you can only destroy with a Tier-3 axe, so you'll need to upgrade that first. Once you've got one, the best area to collect gunpowder is to the northeast of the snack bar.

Potato Beetles, meanwhile, are usually found roaming around near the Ranger Outpost, and can be distinguished by their bright yellow and black shells.

To craft the Tier 3 Omni-axe, you need:

• 3,000x Raw Science
• 3x Black Ant Mandibles
• 2x Praying Mantis Claws

Luckily, these materials are relatively easy to obtain (just be prepared against those Praying Mantis!). Black Ants can be found in the northeastern area of the map - the area that opened up after the Winter Update. Given that the axe is required to get the other tier-3 tools, you need to craft this one first.

Other Omni-tool upgrades

The Tier 2 Omni-Wrench can be crafted with 2,500 Raw Science, three Gum Nuggets, and two Rust Beetle parts. The Tier 3 Wrench isn't available yet, and neither is the Tier 3 Shovel. We'll update this guide as soon as they're added to the game.

According to the Grounded 2 early access roadmap, the next tier of Omni-tool unlocks will be available in the Summer update, with tier 5 to follow at an unknown point, perhaps the 1.0 launch.

Now you can upgrade your tools to tier three, new resources are at your disposal for the first time, including Grounded 2 snail shells, though it'll be a little longer before we can upgrade our Omni-Tools through tiers four, and five.
