While GPU prices are still jumping around in a state of chaos in the US right now, prices in the UK are not just settling, but even dropping below MSRP. We've already seen the RTX 5060 Ti and 5070 dip below Nvidia's recommended pricing in the UK, and now the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti can be bought for £699.99, which is a good £30 below the £729 MSRP.

At that price, this Nvidia offering is absolutely the best GPU to buy in this sector of the graphics card market, putting it in direct competition with the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT. Although the latter ostensibly launched at a $599 / £569, it costs a lot more in the real world, with even UK prices settling at around £629, despite stable stock levels. If it's a choice between the 9070 XT and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the latter has the superior spec.

Unlike its predecessor, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, this new GPU has 16GB of VRAM, rather than 12GB, which solves the main criticism we levelled at Nvidia's next GPU down in our RTX 5070 review. Not only that, but it also uses the same GB203 GPU as the mighty RTX 5080, just with some parts disabled. The end result still gives you 8,960 CUDA cores, though, compared to 7,680 in the 4070 Ti and just 6,144 in the RTX 5070, along with 70 RT cores for ray tracing and 280 Tensor cores for AI work, such as Nvidia DLSS.

In terms of basic specs, it's just a little below the GeForce RTX 4080 (9,728 CUDA cores) from the last generation, but it also has the benefit of full support for DLSS 4, including multi-frame gen. This tech uses AI to insert up to three extra frames between pairs of frames genuinely rendered by the GPU - it can't fix a low frame rate, but it can smooth out a decent frame rate even further, which is great if you have a monitor with a fast refresh rate.

Best of all, if you live in the UK, you can now get a Gainward GeForce RTX 5070 Ti card for just £699.95 from Overclockers, or a Palit RTX 5070 Ti card for £699.98 from Scan - both GPUs are in stock and ready to go right now. This isn't cheap, of course, but in these times it's a good price for the graphics horsepower on offer if you want to max out your games at 2,560 x 1,440.
