All Highguard characters - every Warden and their abilities

Who are all the Highguard characters? Each Highguard Warden comes equipped with unique abilities that help them break down defenses - by taking a closer look at each Warden, you can decide which one suits you and your team best. It's also helpful to know what you could be up against; understanding what the Wardens are capable of allows you to target their weaknesses during a fight.

Looking at the Highguard roadmap, new Wardens will be added to the FPS game at the beginning of each Episode, so we expect the meta to shift as players discover powerful team combinations. Using our guide, the only thing that will be able to stop you are the Highguard servers throwing up error signs.

Atticus

As the descendant of an ancient bloodline, Atticus must fulfill his father's dying wish to defeat the ancient evil plotting to rule the world. In battle, Atticus can be one of the best at gathering resources for his team thanks to his powerful axe.

• Tactical Ability: Shockspear

Atticus hurls an electrified spear that shocks nearby enemies. Any damage built up by this ability is used to power Atticus' axe.

• Passive Ability: Charged Axe

While gathering resources, any well-timed strikes will power up Atticus' axe, allowing him to perform a supercharged throw to gather resources much faster.

• Ultimate Ability: Powerstorm

Fly into the air and hurl lightning spears that deal heavy damage to both players and structures.

Condor

An expert tracker, Condor specializes in hunting enemies down using her birds to act as another pair of eyes. Condor is said to be one of the most sought-after treasure hunters in Headwall, making her an excellent addition to most teams.

• Tactical Ability: Eyes In The Sky

Condor's bird keeps an eye on the battlefield to alert her of any nearby targets.

• Passive Ability: Hunter's Instinct

Condor sends her bird to fly towards a specific area to track any moving enemies.

• Ultimate Ability: Soaring Guardian

Fire three smoke clouds that blind foes and reveal their location.

Kai

A defensive-minded Warden, Kai can put a stop to enemy attacks instantly using his ice abilities. The disciplined monk can keep enemies at bay, fortify your base, and go on a rampage by transforming into the giant ice demon known as Rime.

• Tactical Ability: Ice Wall

Kai creates an ice wall to defend himself from incoming projectiles.

• Passive Ability: Frozen Repair

Restore broken walls to fortify defensive structures.

• Ultimate Ability: Frost Giant

Transform into Kai's inner ice demon, Rime.

Mara

Mara is a soulweaver who takes advantage of downed enemies to toughen up her teammates. She has the potential to become a real force in the meta - by strategically placing her Ultimate Ability, Mara ensures her team can keep the pressure on during clutch moments.

• Tactical Ability: Soul Armor

Mara strengthens her teammates by granting an overshield that absorbs damage.

• Passive Ability: Sacrifice

Use the souls from downed enemy players to charge up your Tactical Ability.

• Ultimate Ability: Immortal Coil

Generate a custom spawn point for your team.

Redmane

Redmane shares a special connection with animals that allows him to utilize animal aspects in his physiology, creating something more powerful than a mere human. An aggressor in every sense of the word, Redmane has been designed to rip through defenses using his animal-like strength.

• Tactical Ability: Pounce

Charge through breakable walls. This ability can be charged to perform a mighty leap.

• Passive Ability: Enraged

Redmane gains a mobility and reload speed buff every time he kills an enemy.

• Ultimate Ability: Beast's Roar

Redmane performs an almighty roar that rips through walls and other breakable objects surrounding him. It's also capable of damaging enemy players.

Scarlet

A deadly assassin who prefers to stay in the shadows, Scarlet likes to take her opponents down in complete silence. Using her infiltration abilities, she's the perfect Warden to surprise enemies when they least expect it.

• Tactical Ability: Sandstorm

Scarlet briefly gains a burst of speed and turns invisible, cloaking herself in a sandstorm to confuse nearby opponents.

• Passive Ability: Shifting Sands

Temporarily turn a destructible wall into sand, allowing Scarlet's teammates to infiltrate a base undetected.

• Ultimate Ability: Whirling Blades
  

Equip six throwable daggers that deal massive damage. Whenever Scarlet kills an enemy using the Whirling Blades, her cooldowns immediately reset.

Slade

Slade is a classic street fighter, born and raised in the hood, where he learned to make it in the criminal world. Using his pyrotechnic abilities, Slade can burn both enemies and structures to the ground, provided it makes him some extra cash.

• Tactical Ability: Heatwave

Slade launches a wave of magma directly in front of him, slowly burning anything in its path.

• Passive Ability: Firebomb

A grenade made of pure fire that burns the ground with lava when it explodes.

• Ultimate Ability: Firestorm
  

Slade summons a portal in the sky that rains down molten balls of magma onto anyone standing under the circle.

Una

A spirit binder by trade, Una takes advantage of wayward spirits to protect her. A fiery spirit herself, Una's abilities are largely offensive, providing her with extra firepower to blow right through any structures and enemies in her wake.

• Tactical Ability: Forest Wisps

Una calls forth mischievous spirits to attack enemies using a series of concussion grenades that damage and disorient rival players.

• Passive Ability: Helping Hand

The mischievous spirits occasionally appear whenever a nearby chest happens to be open, gifting Una its contents.

• Ultimate Ability: Tree Walker
  

Tree Walker sees Una summon a giant forest spirit that hurls explosives that harm structures and players caught in the blast zone.
