Vampires Bloodlord Rising lets you transform into a bat and rip people in two

We've seen all sorts of vampire videogames over the years, from dynamic battle royales, to cinematic single-player experiences, to unrelenting bullet hell shooters. Few have tried to combine as many elements, though, as Vampires Bloodlord Rising. Previously known as Vampire Dynasty before a rebrand earlier this year, this sandbox survival game features castle building, management systems, open-world exploration, and so much more. With plenty more still to show off, PCGamesN can exclusively reveal a brand new trailer for Vampires Bloodlord Rising, which features fresh looks at its brutal combat and a mechanic that'll let you traverse its open world as a high-flying bat.

The realm of Sangavia is ripe for a vampiric takeover, and in Vampires Bloodlord Rising, that's exactly what you (and a few friends, if you like) are looking to do. One of the most enticing elements about Bloodlord Rising, which is looking to challenge some of the best survival games around, is its castle building feature. Similar to V Rising's take on the vampire fantasy, you can construct, upgrade, and decorate your own gothic fortress. However, while we've all spent hours toiling away with base building systems and getting lost in videogame architecture, it's what happens outside of your castle walls that really counts.

While the new trailer for Vampires Bloodlord Rising contains a new smattering of base building footage, combat and exploration are the main areas of focus. The most eye-catching thing for me is the ability to transform into a giant bat-like creature, which allows you to soar high above Sangavia to scout out new locations (or just admire the view). It'll also seemingly act as a swifter way to travel around the open-world. Plus, no matter what kind of game you're playing, it's just super cool to seamlessly morph into some otherworldly beast at the click of a button.

As far as combat goes, we see some new abilities such as a recon pulse that will highlight nearby enemies, even if they're cowering behind cover. It also showcases the athleticism of your vampire lord, who can lunge, leap, and backflip to dodge or deal attacks. There's also a savage attack, potentially a finisher move or some kind of ultimate ability, that lets you grab an enemy and savagely split them in two with your bare hands.

The trailer also provides a brief introduction to Reveka, the Queen of the Night, a key character that has an "inscrutable role" in Bloodlord Rising's story, according to developer Mehuman Games.
